China is a culturally rich country and consists of one of the worlds oldest people and civilisations. Similarly to USA, China consists of a number of states and they all use the worlds longest used writing systems. They have also been credited as a major source of inventions over the centuries to such an extent that it has been said the cultures and writing systems of China have been adopted by neighbouring countries of Korean, Japan and Vietnam.

China is a beautiful country dominated by numerous plateaus and mountains in the west of the country to the lower lands of the East. China also has various major rivers cutting through the country such as Yangtze, Huang He, North and the Amur rivers. These rivers are relied upon for industry and commerce, but they also serve an important attraction for tourist who come to the area. All of these rivers take water from the mountain peaks and are emptied in the Pacific Ocean below.

China is a vast country covering miles and miles of land space and water. As such the climate varies greatly. In the northern park of China, the summer daytime temperates can reach more than 30 degrees Celsius and in winter the temperatures drop to artic temperatures below zero.
In the Central part of China, the climate is more like continental where ranges are from very hot summers to very cold winters.
In the southern part of China, the climate is more typical of subtropical temperatures where the summer temperatures are very hot summers and mild winters.
